Why did the gods want to create earth

Haha good question.
There's no real reason. I think they were just getting bored.
We can't even say that God created the Earth. The earth is a result of Big Bang Theory.

well technically there is no proof whatsoever how the earth came to be. It could have been by some higher being or by a big explosion.

Is this question for a book? If not, there is no true answer. If it's in a book you read, (fiction, greek mythology, etc.) you'd have to say which one.

I know. Thank you @Brainybeauty :) I don't mean human being i mean someone like a god. An over seeing figure of the world and everything in it is generally called a higher being.
