OpenStudy (cbreadbox):

(7.25h)*3=x How would I go about simplifying this expression or any expression for that matter. If you think this is cheating it's fine, all I need to know is how to simplify an expression. Thanks in advance.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[(7.25h)*3 = x\]multiply 7.25 by 3 and leave the h...

OpenStudy (cbreadbox):

yes, I wrote the expression. but, how would I simplify it?

OpenStudy (cbreadbox):

Oh! wait, wait, wait...hold on...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You just multiply by 3 you can't do much more.

OpenStudy (cbreadbox):

wrong expression. I don't think I can simplify it..

OpenStudy (cbreadbox):

ohhhh

OpenStudy (cbreadbox):

(7.25h+15)*2=x So, one such as this would need to be simplified but not that one?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Distribute the 2 over 7.25h and 15

OpenStudy (anonymous):

There's not much you can do

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Though you can factor out a 14.5 but the number inside would be a bit ridiculous, prob need a calculator for it.

OpenStudy (cbreadbox):

ok, thanks I just needed to know if this question was a red herring

OpenStudy (cbreadbox):

the first one, I mean. But thanks for helping out with the second one.
