How does oxygen production relate to the rate of photosynthesis?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This is a questions in the Photosynthesis Lab Gizmo

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Plants undergo photosynthesis in order to create glucose and leave out oxygen as a by-product. So, the more oxygen production there is, the plant is going photosynthesis. So, we can measure the rate of photosynthesis, through oxygen production http://wiki.answers.com/Q/How_does_oxygen_production_relate_to_the_rate_of_photosynthesis
