Read the lines from "Because I Could Not Stop for Death." We paused before a House that seemed A Swelling of the Ground – What image does the language in these lines create?
A - The language reduces the importance of the image being presented. B - The language distracts the reader from the symbolic meaning of the words. C - The language creates an image of starkness and isolation. D - The language suggests an image of gloom and foreboding.

So would this one be C? @Brainybeauty
@SolomonZelman
I think it's D. if you look at this website: http://www.shmoop.com/because-i-could-not-stop-for-death/stanza-5-summary.html it explains that "swelling of the ground" is like a hole in the ground that's been covered-- there's still a little rise in the ground. and since it's supposed to be her "burial spot" than that'd suggest gloominess
But we already did D, and didn't you get it wrong?
hm, then I guess it could be C. stark can mean cold, empty, harsh, grim, etc so I guess it could be C? I'm not sure though
Oh, not you @jgirl128 I'm sure its D as well. But we got 50% on this test, so I thought @Sirstaven was putting up the incorrect ones we got last time.
oh, okay then :)
I think these may be different questions. So would it be C or D do you think
Yea, my gut still says D
