What is the best explanation for why the United States decided to target Hiroshima? It was geographically suited for bombing and evaluating the results of bombing. It would have few casualties because it was nearly destroyed by previous bombings. It was a religiously and culturally significant city for the Japanese monarchy. It was a city with many family connections to Emperor Hirohito and military leaders.

I'm pretty sure it's A. The bomb was meant for Tokyo, but the weather wasn't exactly agreeing with the U.S.
