Alright, the Freedmen's Bureau really didn't have that much success at all, really. However--they did provide widespread education for African-Americans by building over 4,000 schools, teaching former slaves how to read and write, and also provided decent medical care. This was all negated by the fact that the Freedmen's Bureau was shut down after a few paltry years in service.
