you do whats in the parenthesis first 1 + 3 = 4 then you divide 6/2 witch is 3 3 X 4 = 12

Simple ! Just do this :\[\frac{ 6 }{ 2 } + (1 + 3) \] Always do the parenthesis first ... 1+3 = 4 then 6 divided by 2 = 3 so 3 • 4 = 12
