What you have to do is make this as a rectangle without any irregular surfaces. So to make the side where the number 8 is, we will bring down the 9 because it can bring it down to the length of 17 (8+9=17). For the side in which the 6 is we will have to add 3 to 6 because it is going vertical and will make the width of the rectangle. So if we add 6+3=9. Now we multiply 17*9=153.
