Does anyone know how antibiotic resistance relates to natural selection?
Hello @aliboo997 !
Do you know about natural selection ?
hi, yes.
ok let's see then how i goes
Some of the bacteria due to mutation develops antibiotic resistance and thus survives against the antibiotic. Now this trait is useful and hence is passed to the next generation (Remember natural selection ?). This new generation (which is antibiotic resistant) reproduce and produce more antibiotic resistant offsprings. In this way natural selection plays a role in antiobiotic resistance of bacteria.
Got it ?
ok, I understand.
Thank you!
