Alright

Using complete sentences, explain each step in figuring out how to determine the time it would take Jennifer to complete this job on her own. @Hero can you help on this part

OpenStudy (anonymous):

on this part: Jennifer to complete this job on her own.

OpenStudy (radar):

The problem states that carl can paint a room 3 hrs faster so set it up by Let x = number of hours that Carl takes now we can express jennifer's times x + 3 is the time that Jennifer takes. The problem further states that working together the can complete the job in 2 hrs. Use the formula that Hero provided ie the product over the sum (x(x+3))/x + x + 3 or (x^2 + 3x)/x^2-x-6 = 2 Now continue to solve for x + 3 (Jennifers time)

@radar I'm still confused
