Casey and Jeremiah made a simple bike ramp out of a piece of straight plywood that is 30 inches long. If the top of the ramp stands 14 inches high, what is the length of the ramp along the ground? Round your answer to the nearest inch.

You'll use the Pythagorean theorem a^2+b^2=c^2 So you know the hypotenuse is 30 inches and one side is 14. c is always the hypotenuse so your equation is \[14^{2}+b ^{2}=30^{2}\] From there you can find b, which is the length of the ramp along the ground
