It is formed due to the temperature difference a. Work c. energy b. Heat d. joule
If 10 lbs of water evaporated at atmospheric pressure until a volume of 288.5 ft3 is occupied, how much work is done? a. 610,358 ft-lb c. -610,358 ft-lb b. 0 d. 550000 ft-lb
... for the 1st question... it is b or Heat Q = mass x specific heat x change in Temperature...
can we consider potential energy as work?
yes we can, although PE usually consider vertical displacement such as \[PE=mgh\]where the "mg" part refers to the Weight (equivalent to a Force) and height h is the vertical displacement where a similar Work is being made... Work is defined force times distance... can be applied in any direction... in most cases... \[\Delta W=-mg~\Delta h\]
