The important thing to know is the original graph y=2^x is above the x axis with a y intercept of 1 ( as if you sub in x=0 you get y=1). By using x-1 instead of x, the graph is shifted to the right, as the graph must use higher x values to achieve the y values it had previously. So the y intercept will be less, but it will be above the x axis, and therefore it is A.
