OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

Very easy suggestion. I think anyone can do it. (it is for writing out steps in math.)

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

`\(\normalsize\color{black}{ }\)` you see a very normal latex box. (size is normal, color is black) It differs from the equation editor, because you can type regular text infront of it, unlike with the equation editor. For example, if I wanted to post, x^4+8x^2+13=-3 add 3 to both sides x^4+8x^2+16=0 let x^2=g g^2+8g+16=0 then solve by completing the square or factoring (g+4)(g+4)=0 (g+4)^2=0 g=-4 Then, substitute -4 for s, into x^2=s, and you get x^2=s x^2=-4 x=±2i ────────────────────────────── Now, how about this? \(\normalsize\color{black}{ x^4+8x^2+13=-3}\) add 3 to both sides \(\normalsize\color{black}{ x^4+8x^2+16=0}\) let x^2=g \(\normalsize\color{black}{ g^2+8g+16=0 }\) then solve by completing the square or factoring \(\normalsize\color{black}{ (g+4)(g+4)=0 }\) \(\normalsize\color{black}{ (g+4)^2=0}\) \(\normalsize\color{black}{ g=-4}\) Then, substitute \(\normalsize\color{black}{-4}\) for \(\normalsize\color{black}{s}\) , into \(\normalsize\color{black}{x^2=s}\) , and you get \(\normalsize\color{black}{x^2=s}\) \(\normalsize\color{black}{x^2=-4}\) \(\normalsize\color{black}{ x=±2i }\) ────────────────────────────── And lastly. I am putting `\(\LARGE\color{white}{ \rm │ }\) ` after each line of latex in black boxes, to get more space in between the latex lines. See the trick ? \(\normalsize\color{black}{ x^4+8x^2+13=-3}\) add 3 to both sides \(\normalsize\color{black}{ x^4+8x^2+16=0}\) \(\LARGE\color{white}{ \rm │ }\) let x^2=g \(\normalsize\color{black}{ g^2+8g+16=0 }\)\(\LARGE\color{white}{ \rm │ }\) then solve by completing the square or factoring \(\normalsize\color{black}{ (g+4)(g+4)=0 }\)\(\LARGE\color{white}{ \rm │ }\) \(\normalsize\color{black}{ (g+4)^2=0}\)\(\LARGE\color{white}{ \rm │ }\) \(\normalsize\color{black}{ g=-4}\)\(\LARGE\color{white}{ \rm │ }\) Then, substitute \(\normalsize\color{black}{-4}\) for \(\normalsize\color{black}{s}\) , into \(\normalsize\color{black}{x^2=s}\) , and you get \(\normalsize\color{black}{x^2=s}\)\(\LARGE\color{white}{ \rm │ }\) \(\normalsize\color{black}{x^2=-4}\)\(\LARGE\color{white}{ \rm │ }\) \(\normalsize\color{black}{ x=±2i }\)\(\LARGE\color{white}{ \rm │ }\) Is it better with `\(\LARGE\color{white}{ \rm │ }\) ` ?

OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):

I was wondering how you do it! but it is way too much haha

well, I thought that writing the reasons for the statements in latex, (as well as writing the statements themselves in latex,) would be to complicated for many people. The thing is though, that this ` \(\LARGE\color{white}{ \rm │ }\) ` creates a 1.5 spacing between the lines, and makes it easier to read.
