16x-24, factor out the greatest common factor?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The greatest common factor is 8. Factor it out from the equation and you should be good.

@wrstlr3232 can you help me?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but how would the x be put into the final answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So each term has a factor of 8. 8times2=16 and 8times3=24. If you remove the 8 you'd have 8(2x-3). That's your final answer. You can leave the x alone.

ohhhhh thanks @wrstlr3232
