Check all that apply a. pyramid b. polygon c. square d. solid e. polyhedron f. prism I think a,d,e but I'm very confused because i though all polyhedron are prism but this object doesn't have 2 faces. so I'm lost and i really need this to pass my current quiz.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how many sides

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I attached an image of the object. however, I count 5 not including the base.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

theres 5 sides now do you know the definition of each shape

OpenStudy (anonymous):

pyramid has just one base. Polygon has 3 line segments connecting? Square is just 4 sides. Solid is everything closing up. Polyhedron just means a lot of sides. and a prism I'm not 100% on.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a solid geometric figure whose two end faces are similar, equal, and parallel rectilinear figures, and whose sides are parallelograms

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So is it everything but a square?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

idk how many choices can you have

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh all that applies

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its not a pyramid

OpenStudy (anonymous):

not a square

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i wouldnt say polyhedron either

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't think it's a polygon because it's a 3-D figure. and it isn't a prism because it only has 1 space.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what you mean by 1 space?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry I meant to say face. I think prisms need two faces and this only has the one.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well have you ever seen a wall and walked all the way down to the other end and its the same shape as the other end

OpenStudy (anonymous):

kinda relates to art class as well it reaches the horizon line so it looks smaller but if you walk all the way down there it's the same
