it looks like their rhombus is a square. what is the area of a square whose side is 4 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

16?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Not good at all with math, sorry.

OpenStudy (phi):

yes. base * height in the case of a square, they are the same number, 4*4= 16 next, you need to find the area of ½ of a circle. if all the way across the circle is 4, what is ½ the way across (i.e. the radius) ?

OpenStudy (phi):

the formula for finding the area of a circle is famous http://www.mathgoodies.com/lessons/vol2/circle_area.html
