The length of the hypotenuse of a right triangle is centimeters and the length of one side is centimeters. What is the exact length of the third side?

Using the Pythagorean Theorum which states \[A^{2} + B ^{2} = C ^{2}\] Where A and B represent the 2 legs and C represents the hypotenuse. So using that you can substitute your numbers (which don't seem to show up) and solve for a or b. Since you already have the hypotenuse and u have on leg you can substitute A and C then solve for B. Sorry if this sounds kinda confusing it'd be easier to demonstrate with your numbers.
