F(x)= l2x-3l G(x)= -x+4 What is (f+g)(3)? Is the final answer l6x-12l -3x+12 or can I simplify this further? The "l" 's represent absolute values.

OpenStudy (kirbykirby):

the 3 doesn't mean multiply here, it means to evaluate the function at x = 3 :)

OpenStudy (kirbykirby):

so step 1: find (f+g)(x) step 2: replace all x's with 3

Cool, I'll try that! thanks

OpenStudy (kirbykirby):

:)
