I wonder if the evolution in web design will incorporate eye tracking software on computers using the camera installed on your computer. Any thoughts?
They already do use it in experiments, but I think you might run into privacy issues for anything past that.
As of now, web design has no direct effect on a client's computer hardware, because the browser must send the request to the operating system which, under sandboxing rules, will not allow the browser to access the webcam unless the user allows it to. Although they have developed computer software to aid the physically impared to navigate the computer using their eyes through eye tracking with the webcam.
Interesting inputs. Thanks for the feedback!
