A mixture in which the solute and solvent particles are uniformly distributed throughout the solution is called a Homogeneous mixture. The solute and solvent particles cannot be differentiated by naked eye. Eg. Salt solution, Sugar solution, Air etc. A mixture in which the solute and solvent particles are not uniformly distributed throughout the solution is called a Heterogeneous mixture. The solute and solvent particles can be easily differentiated by naked eye. Eg. Chalk powder in water, Muddy water etc.
