−1.64=(60−μ)/σ and 1.96=(95−μ)/σ solve for μ and σ

no one wants to do this because it is a pain here is the answer http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=%E2%88%921.64%3D%2860%E2%88%92%CE%BC%29%2F%CF%83%2C+1.96%3D%2895%E2%88%92%CE%BC%29%2F%CF%83

\[-164\sigma =60-\mu\\ 1.96\sigma =95-\mu\] you have to solve that system of equations it is not impossible, just not much fun

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\mu-1.64\sigma =60\\ \mu+1.96\sigma =95\] you can multiply the first equation by \(-1\) get \[-\mu+1.64\sigma =-60\\ \mu+1.96\sigma =95\] then add them up

OpenStudy (aem9296):

thank you very much!!
