for a short story i need an idea for a plot that revolves around the topics of 'social change' so could be anything to do with changing the masses and societal norms.

I want it to be really effective, perhaps an extended metaphor or written from an unusual perspective.

Is this a story or an essay about the subject. Meaning is it a fantasy or are you supposed to write about real life events?
