It has been suggested before, but since all of one's information is linked to the username of that person instead of a generic number, changing the username would require going into the hard drive (or something) and tampering with it... which is very troublesome...
they could change it all into a code based thing so that instead of being your username being connected to your info it would be that code thing, so you would then be able to change your username at will... but that would also require lots of tampering and not fun .-. apparently

Changing usernames was possible like 3 years ago but not anymore.If people keep changing their usernames it would be hard for students to tag that specific person on their questions at the time they need help. They will be confused and you yourself will be confused who your friend is and who you interact with. You're getting me,right? @factor.
