Vector question...!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for a.b(dot product), the numerator |a.b| means take positive / take mod but for a x b(scalar product), numerator |a x b| means after scalar product, you square root the sum of the square of the products. am i right to say that ?

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

|a.b| means take `positive value` of the `dot product` |axb| means take the `magnitude/length` of `vector product`
