I would suggest posting problems one by one....

for (C) the missing side is AD and the missing measurement is 2 then for D \[\frac{x}{8} = \frac{2}{x} \] cross multiply and you get \[x^2 = 16\] solve for x

For (D) would it be: \[\frac{y }{ 3 } = \frac{ 8 }{ x }\]

yes.... but the need the value of x from part c... you should have found x = 4 so you are looking at \[\frac{y}{3} = \frac{8}{4}\]
