@thadyoung Not generally. The issue is that kingdoms hold such a wide variety of lifeforms that DNA is not really all that useful. Generally, DNA is used by itself only for species level work. This is because there is only one true biological unit: a species. Well, at least the only level that is not 100% human made. Think about it, where do you place the cutoff for a genus? A family? We could just stick humans, chimps, gorillas, etc in one big genus and have different names for each species, or we could have a unique genus for each. Either way, the actual organisms are not affected and still remain separate.
