Solar Mobile Charger using 7805, ADC0831, AT89C2051 and opto coupler

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can someone please tell me how to solve the circuit. The flow of current and the values. Thanks

OpenStudy (kenljw):

The analysis of the circuit requires knowledge of each IC and its function. What your asking is the big picture of circuit which would entail the function of overall circuit. Basically what I see is a Analog to Digital converter, Liquid Crystal Display and Driver, DC voltage regulator, Solar panel, relay and assorted discrete components. To just dive into a circuit like this is not for novices, one must develop a sense for each component over time and how they can be used to interact with each other. If your really serious about knowing how this circuit works look up each component and understand its particular function and see how it is used in conjunction with the other components.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah am looking into the components. Can you help me to do the calculations for the circuit.

Relay NO, normally open, NC, normally closed, refers to the state of relay when not activated, its shown activated by 12 V battery. I assume battery is rechargeable and the output of solar panel is around 12 V. If something happens to relay battery circuit the relay goes to NO disconnecting solar panel from rest of circuit. My installment for today.

OpenStudy (kenljw):

With this schematic it appears NO, NC, are for activated relay not deactivated as I said before, you should learn what the normal convention is

Can u please help me in finding the currents passing through mosfets and transistor and working of optocoupler.

OpenStudy (kenljw):

Again this is your assignment in understanding how each device works, so to create a synergistic understanding of the circuit as a whole. One must learn to crawl before he can run, or Rome wasn't build in a day.

This will be helpful. And you need some knowledge about Microcontroller programming in ASM. http://dc430.4shared.com/doc/1TtmWNTY/preview.html
