OpenStudy (hugsnotughs):

I am doing an experiment. If you add a tablespoon of dish soap to water, will it affect the number of droplets that can be fit in a penny? All I want to know is what would be the independent variable, the dependent variable, and the controlled.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think that covers it ^

OpenStudy (deepika.comet):

Independant variable - a variable (often denoted by x ) whose variation does not depend on that of another. Dependant variable - If there is some relation specifying y in terms of x, then y is known as a dependent variable (and x is an independent variable). Statistics. In a statistics experiment, the dependent variable is the event studied and expected to change whenever the independent variable is altered. i got this from google

OpenStudy (hugsnotughs):

Thank you both. Both answers were very helpful. To be fair, I don't think I'll give a medal because both answers were helpful and I don't want to give one to just one person.

OpenStudy (deepika.comet):

:)

OpenStudy (deepika.comet):

theres a solution....we will give medals to each other...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Lol I really don't care. But no prob!

OpenStudy (deepika.comet):

OpenStudy (hugsnotughs):
