Which procedure could a student use to examine an intensive property of a rectangular block of wood? A)Find the mass. B)Record the length. C)Measure the volume. D)Determine the density.

OpenStudy (joannablackwelder):

An intensive property doesn't change when you take away some of the sample. Examples are temperature, color, hardness, melting point, boiling point, pressure, molecular weight, and density.

OpenStudy (joannablackwelder):

Intensive properties depend on the type of material, not the amount.

I is d i'm not sure.

OpenStudy (joannablackwelder):

Correct! Mass, length, and volume would all change if you cut off a piece, but density would not. :)
