The best approach to go at here would be to look at the graph. of the line f(x) = 2. See attatched image. What you should realize is that this is the graph of a line that runs continuously both ways. That being said, you need to determine what values of x will give you the required answer of 2. If you can't realize it, no matter what x value you use, you will always get 2. Therefore your answer would be all real numbers. They probably want it listed as \[(-\infty,\infty)\]
