OpenStudy (monsterisenergy):

I seriously have trouble understanding the use of tangent, sine , and cosine when dealing with vectors, could someone give me the essential information regarding this topic? Thanks SO MUCH in advance :)

OpenStudy (aaronq):

Do you know general trigonometry?

OpenStudy (monsterisenergy):

Yes I do, I know how to calculate those, opposite, adjacent and hypotenuse. I am just confused on when to use the appropriate method and stuff

OpenStudy (aaronq):

Okay. Do you wanna try an example? It might be that you're just not identifying the sides correctly.

OpenStudy (monsterisenergy):

Yes definitely I would totally appreciate that :)

OpenStudy (aaronq):

Okay, decompose this vector |dw:1408479938313:dw|

OpenStudy (monsterisenergy):

|dw:1408480023105:dw| I resolved it into horizontal and vertical components
