So as far as the order of what you are supposed to do things just remember: Parenthesis Exponents Multiplication Division Addition and Subtraction. PEMDAS for short. Since your equation has one set of parenthesis we'd look at that first.

(3x+4) cant really be simplified so we'd leave it like it is for now. There aren't any exponents, so we can move onto multiplication. There is one instance of multiplication here. Do you need help with that part or can you do it yourself?
