4^2x=7

OpenStudy (dangerousjesse):

\(\large x=0.4375 ~ or ~ \frac{7}{16}\)

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

\(\large \bf 4^2x=7\quad or\quad 4^{2x}=7?\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The second one.

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

hmmm have you covered logarithms yet?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Nope im on Exponential equations

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

hmm I don't think you can simplify that one using just exponentials though that'd give a logarithmic function with exponents that most I can see is \(\bf 4^{2x}=7\implies (4^2)^x=7\implies 16^x=7\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thats right.Thank you :)

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):
