Solve the system of equations using substitution. y = 5x + 6 y = 3x

OpenStudy (fibonaccichick666):

So first step, which is easier to solve for x or sub in y?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(3x) = 5x + 6 -2x = 6 x = -3 y=3(-3) y=-9

OpenStudy (fibonaccichick666):

@nguyenphi9920 , you may not know yet since you are newer, but for future reference, the policy on openstudy is not just to give answers. aka walk them through not give it all with no effort.

@FibonacciChick666 sorry

it's cool, just filling you in. If you didn't notice, the question was closed as soon as you posted without a medal awarded. You will notice a lot of answer mongers on here(ie people who don't want to do the work so they ask and don't try) Be warned good samaritan, cheating can occur easily in that situation. Here there is a no cheating policy, but many break this rule. @nguyenphi9920 keep helping :)
