Determine which system below will produce infinitely many solutions. -4x + 6y = 20 4x - 3y = -2 -2x + 4y = 18 4x - 8y = -36 3x - 2y = 5 -6x - 4y = -10 5x - 3y = 12 15x - 9y = 24

OpenStudy (help!!!!):

just graph these and find slopes that coincide

OpenStudy (fibonaccichick666):

Another way(without a calculator) is to look at the eq, in order to have infinitely many solutions the other eq must essentially be the same as the first. (just a multiple)

OpenStudy (fibonaccichick666):

SO to have infinitely many solutions what do the eqs need to represent?

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

solve each for "y" that is, set them in slope-intercept form and simplify them after simplification... the system that has 2 equations looking the same meaning, the simplified form of the equation equals the other it means both equations are the same line thus producing "infinite" solutions

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so which one is it?

OpenStudy (help!!!!):

lol put some effort to this

OpenStudy (fibonaccichick666):

Try it for yourself

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dont understand......

OpenStudy (fibonaccichick666):

we have given you 3 ways

OpenStudy (fibonaccichick666):

ask questions on what you don't understand

OpenStudy (fibonaccichick666):

be specific or we can't help you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry i gotta go! i dont have time to work anyhing out! bye!!!!! but ill give you guys medals and ill fan you
