I just finished the second lecture for 6.00sc and I was hoping someone could explain to me where he is getting abs(x)-ans*ans*ans

he said it as if it was a part of the code but I don't see it

It was misleading how he worded it.
it seemed as if he was saying it could be found in the code, but it was just a function you yourself could use to analyze the code
