What simplified algebraic expression might you use to describe the sum of a number k and the number 10 less than the triple of k?

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

(k + (3k - 10) ??? The sum means add.....triple k means 3k.....you better get a second opinion

looks good to me combine like terms to finish

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

" the sum of " means add " triple k " means 3k -- (3 times k) " less then " means subtract k + 3k - 10 -- combine like terms 4k - 10
