OpenStudy (anonymous):

Distribute the negative to the second polynomial

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dont get it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

multiply each term in the second part by -1 and change that minus in the middle to a +

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so is this how it looks now (75x - 62y)+(-48 + 18

OpenStudy (anonymous):

close but you didnt multiply the 18 by -1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you have to mutliply both by -1 because they are in the parentheses

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(75x - 62y)+(-48 + -18) like this then add right
