Find a solution to the following system of equations. 2x + y = -2 -5x + 4y = 5

we can use the substitution method to solve this first isolate the y in the first equation by subtracting 2x from both sides you should get y = -2x - 2 then you can plug that into the second equation (-5x + 4y = 5) which will get you -5x + 4(-2x-2) = 5 distribute and solve for x from there :) once you get what x equals, plug that into y = -2x - 2 and solve for y that should give you your solution ^_^
