(x+3)(x+3) you just use the distributive property so you take the first x and multiply it by everything in the second parentheses. so that would be X^2+3x now take the first 3 and do the same so that is 3x+9 so in total you have x^2+3x+3x+9 now add like terms so x^2+6x+9 that is your answer
