0.74 = log (x) and 0.74 = ln(y) i've never have this question before

OpenStudy (aum):

What are you asked to do?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh i forgot... solve for x and y

OpenStudy (aum):

\(0.74 = \log (x)\) implies \(x = 10^{0.74}\) \(0.74 = \ln (y)\) implies \(y = e^{0.74}\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

where does the e come from or is that a default?

OpenStudy (aum):

ln stands for "natural logarithm" which uses the base "e". log is logarithm to the base 10.
