answer and explanation 6n=1 what is the property and what is n

OpenStudy (dangerousjesse):

\(\large 1 \div 6=n\) :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thx do you know the property

OpenStudy (amistre64):

you should have a short list of properties in your class materials .. which one do you believe fits it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dont have any class materials

OpenStudy (amistre64):

then what is it you have to work with? where are you getting the questions from? what material do you have that you are spose to be working with?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

just a summer wksht with no attachments

OpenStudy (amistre64):

then we have no idea what your worksheet is defining the properties as. any answer would simply be a guess

OpenStudy (amistre64):

there are 5 basic properties to algebra: add a 0, multiply a 1: these are called identities add a negative, or divide by the number: these are called inverses and then there is the distributive property: a(b+c) = ab + ac

OpenStudy (amistre64):

if we are to take a guess as to what property allows us to solve this: which one do you believe fits the best?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

inverses

OpenStudy (amistre64):

i agree, multiplicative inverse might be the answer they are looking for then

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks for your help :)

OpenStudy (amistre64):

good luck
