Help. I have an English essay. I don't quite get what it's asking me to do. "Write an essay in which you analyze the role that setting and character play in driving the plot events in a story from the readings. Your essay should be 1-2 pages." No I'm not asking for you to write it for me. I just need some help understanding the essay guidelines and maybe a few suggestions on books to read

So most adventure/hero novels have a setting that allows for the adventure (i.e. the past, in England, beside a forest) and protagonist (i.e. one with morals and quick witted) and antagonist (i.e. an evil person) 
This is just an example. It varies with the type of book. Horror novels usually have a haunted house and a group of brave people. Mystery has a case and a smart detective. Etc, etc.
