A theater company charges $5.75 per ticket for people of all age groups. If c represents the total number of children who bought tickets and a represents the total number of adults who bought tickets, which expression best represents the total money earned by the company from the sale of tickets? 5.75c + a c + 5.75a 11.5(c + a) 5.75(c + a)

If everyone pays the same for the tickets, then children pay 5.75c and adults pay 5.75a. Right? You add them together and get 5.75a + 5.75c. BUT you can factor out the 5.75 cuz it's common, and you are left with the expression 5.75(c+a)
