@zepdrix your open study math wouldn't load for me. I understand the m part with the reciprocal, but I have no idea how to get b 0.0 Did I do this right? y + 1 = -1/4(x-3)

OpenStudy math..? The LaTeX code stuff didn't load? Mmm that's no good. So, y=(-1/4)x+b Plug in your point (3,,-1), -1=(-1/4)3+b and solve for b.
