How do you solve -3/2(2x-5)(x+3)=0? Thanks.

myininaya (myininaya):

a*b*c=0 when a=0 or b=0 or c=0 or any combination of the above... So Set all three of your factors equal to 0. I will do the first one for you. -3/2 can't be 0 <--so nothing to solve here Now set your next factor=0 and solve And do the same for the last factor

myininaya (myininaya):

Have you set the middle factor equal to zero yet?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you i got the middle factor x=2.5 and the last factor x=-3

myininaya (myininaya):

That's right.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so is the answer -3 correct?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can i have 2 answers?
