jamie and sarah walk at an average of 1.8 mph. if the store is 3540m from their house, how many minutes will it take them to get home? problem type

OpenStudy (joannablackwelder):

speed=distance/time Just make sure the units cancel out and you have your answer in minutes.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

"mph" is usually "miles/hour". "m" is usually meters. Supposing the trip is one-way: (3540 meters) / (1609.34 meters/mile) / (1.8 miles/hour) x (60 minutes/hour) = 73 minutes
