the coordinates of the vertices of quadrilateral QPRS are Q(2, 4), P(4, 4), R(3, 1), and S(1, 1). If quadrilateral QPRS is reflected across the x-axis to create quadrilateral GHIJ, find the coordinates of point J.

In order to reflect a point over the x axis, you will want to change the sign (positive or negative) of the y coordinate. In this problem, all your y coordinates are positive. All you have to do is make that negative. In order to figure out which point is J, you just have to line it up with what was given to you. The given shape, QPRS. You have to create GHIJ. Q lines up with G, P lines up with H, and so on. All you have to worry about is changing the sign of the S coordinate's y. Hope that makes sense. :)
