Why did Siddhartha Gautama leave his life of privilege to wander for years? He meditated and fasted in hopes of curing his body of illness and evil. He was searching for a sick person who would reveal the mysteries of life. He was upset that he never knew what was going on beyond the gates of his palace. He meditated and fasted to look for the answers to the mysteries of life. @Jaynator495
